Draught. This is a decent Schwartz with a good balance and a nice dry finish. It is the best GB beer i have tried.

Pours a thin black with a beige head. Aroma is lightly roasted malts. Taste is toasted malts and thin body. Disappointed.

Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - APR 7, 2013
Serving: Draft at the Navy Yard brewpub. It pours black with a slight tan head. The nose has a nice bit of roasted malt and a touch of earth. The flavor isn’t as vibrant as I hoped with light earth, medium roasted malt, slight burnt notes, and a touch of coffee. Light to medium body with a short finish. Certainly drinkable but not inspiring.

shadey (2148) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 19, 2013
On draft in Atlanta. Black pour with red highlights. Nice lacing. Sweet roasted malt with no hint of bitterness. Flavor is lightly toasted dark malt. Decent stuff.

Gription79 (2893) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - FEB 13, 2013
On draft at the Las Vegas brewpub. Subtle coffee and chocolate, the bittering is firm, floral hops. Poured very cloudy, looks like dirty water.

Shanebrews (294) - Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2012
I don’t usually go for the black beers but I liked this one. I thought the head retention was adequate and the maltiness of the aroma was enticing. The body isn’t too heavy. The palate is very creamy and pleasantly bitter.

sonnycheeba (6259) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Tap. Pours murky dark brown with thin, fizzy beige head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is faint with light roast and caramel malts, earthy hops, figs, and light coffee. Flavor is roast malt forward with some supporting hops and dark fruit esters; dry finish with a hint of roasted coffee. Light body and low carbonation.
