On tap at 2011 Denver Brew at the Zoo. Very dark clear ruby brown with a light khaki head. Very faint aroma overall, but theres some black malt, with some light coffee and toffee in there. Body proves to be just too light. Light dark malt tones, light coffee, light toastiness. Good, just light and unexciting. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2013
On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Red Brick. Clear darker amber / red color. Minimal slightly off-white head. Smooth, lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. More dry finish. Some chocolatey flavor. Light roast, light bready malts. Lightly spicy. Hint of tropical fruity hop. More bitter taste, light sweet. Decent schwarzbier, nothing really special, for me bb (9525) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 23, 2011

Not so bad really, just, well, not so good. Pours dark maroon with some vague notion of head and lacing. Aroma has an IOU roast with a hint of coffee even. Light bitter finish. Average carbonation, as can be expected. Tap at brewpub.
