Pours golden yellow with a bit of white head. Pretty hoppy. Peppery. Medium body. Dry, but not as crisp as I’d of liked. Just ok. Derek881 (1272) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 28, 2008
I sampled some of this beer at the brewpub. The aroma was a modest blend of grainy, citrus, and slight floral hops, without any of them really shining through, and a touch of caramel malt. It had a slightly cloudy golden color with a modest, foamy white head with average retention. The flavor had a light initial sweetness followed by a finishing bitterness; slightly grainy. It had an average body density with some dryness towards the end and moderate carbonation. Beer rating #300, thanks for sharing Siobhan! can8ianben (1556) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2008
Bright, fresh, and a nice citrus bite in the finish. This is a lovely summer beer, and in my opinion this should take the place of their Golden Export as the flagship lighter standard beer choice on the menu. It was very drinkable and very tasty. They called this one Sommergold. Golden colour. Not much head. Aroma is fruity, berryish. Grainy character, low bitterness. HInts of fruitiness. Off-dry. Pretty bland. jrob21 (3728) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 13, 2008
On tap at Atlanta location. Great summer beer. Clear golden color with a decent white head that disappears pretty quickly. Toasted gran aroma and flavor with a little bit of caramel in there as well. Some fruity and slightly bitter hops. Too little of everything happening here. Need less water and more character. Chilled out my spicy food pretty well though.

Enjoyed at the Washington, D.C. brewpub with the brewer on his last day. A good bitterness, a good lace on light yellow. A little creamy. Average mouthfeel, and drinkable on a hot Washington summer day. Drjohnrock (805) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 10, 2007
Draft sampler at Columbus brewpub. Sweet malty aroma, flavor and body are too thin--"thin" being a word that applies all too often to the beers I had at this place. Flavor seems to be in the backround, as if a good beer is trying to break out but doesn’t quite make it. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 27, 2007

2012-07-24, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 5-3-5-2-10=25
Deep blond color, not even hazy. Very light malt aroma. Light malt flavor, with a hint of fruits and grass; low bitterness.
2007-10-06, draught at the brewpub, Washington DC, as Sommerfest, 4-2-4-2-8=20
Light blond color. Very light Lager, with a sweetish flavor and low bitterness. Too simple.
Had this one on draught as part of a sampler flight at the brewpub in Bollingbrook, Illinois. Clear, light yellow pour with a thin white head, floral and fruity, highly drinkable. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2007
(Tap) Pours a golden color with a fizzy white head. Aroma of wet grain and light citrus/grass. Taste is bready, with a smooth malty mouthfeel. Dry ending, with a decent mouthfeel (especially for the style). Overall it’s OK, but nothing too exciting.
