at brewery. Pretty good. clear golden with a fluffy white head. Sweet malty taste with citrus notes and a nice grainy, crisp, clean finish. pwyman (71) - Hubert, North Carolina, USA - FEB 9, 2003
Light malt taste, just what I was expecting. Light amber color. No after taste to cloud the next drink. TAR (2764) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - SEP 8, 2006
Draft @ Broomfield, CO location: Yellow orange. Fine, dense white foam. Toasted malts produce straw and toffee aromas. Carbonation is soft and creamy but also fairly acidic. Quite grainy, initially, but beautifully rounded with a toasted biscuit sweetness. Malt is quite chewy and also hints at fresh hay which supports the staunch toastiness. Deep candied malt sweetness alleviates the slightly mushy body. Persistently sweetly malty but well-attenuated finish remains layered with toffee, toast, and straw. Despite the acidic carbonation, high level of filtration, and slightly flimsy body, this is a delightfully clean and bready example. Rather pleased with this. On tap at the San Francisco brewpub. Rich gold color with a white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Very similar to the GB Märzen, but with a little more heat. Maybe a bit of lingonberry to the aroma? BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAR 7, 2006
Draught at GB San Diego: Dark amber color, a nice sized head and good lacing. The nose is malty with light toasty caramel and some light fruitiness. The flavor is balanced, good body and full toasty biscuity flavor. The finish is creamy. Decent vienna, especially considering the source.

Draft at the brewpub (Phoenix location). Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was off white with good retention. Some lace was left behind at the end. The aroma was of noble and grassy hops, brown sugar, and toffee. Delicately sweet up front with a dried and slightly bitter finish (bitterness peaked at about 3 out of 10). The flavor palate included dominant grassy hop, subdued molasses, brown sugar elements. Pretty good. seymour (2045) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Tasted on tap in sampler glass. Attractive, clear light-amber color with big off-white head. Good retention, even a little lacing. Subtle floral hops aroma. Sophisticated malty-sweetness resulting from bready pale, mild caramel, and some dark toasted malts. Medium body with soft, round mouthfeel. Very clean, dry, lasting lager finish. If you like mass-market dark lagers (Amberbock, Killian’s, Dos Equis amber, etc,) you’ll like this fresh one even better. BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - MAR 8, 2006
Lightly hazed amber appearance. Mild malty, toasted biscuit nose. Toasted malt flavor, light in body, slightly dryish with a touch op hop bitterness in the finish. Not a standout Vienna but mildly creamy, flavorful and easily drinkable. mjg74 (3106) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 29, 2008
Tap @ Mission Valley. Medium amber in color. Aroma is very caramelized and malty. Somewhat bready flavors with a bit of an earthy hoppiness to it. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JUN 27, 2010
I had this from a 12oz bottle.
Nice orangey color, some good maltiness made this beer nicely drinkable.
