In 1992, Gordon launches Finest Gold, a strong and refined beer with a typically Scottish character, combining the forces of charm and persuasion. Its origins and its strength (10% degrees of alcohol) give it its smooth taste and explosive nature. The taste of this incomparable beer is nevertheless entirely suited to the new demand of its many enthusiasts. Gordon Finest Gold is today available in 33 cl and 50 cl cans.

Beer pours clear gold with a medium, white head. Dusty grain and dough in the aroma. Sweet cereal, sugar and alcohol.

500ml can server in an ordinary glass. Pours a clear golden color forming a medium and creamy white head. Low persistence. Nose is sweet and grassy. Very grainy with some grassy hops. Sweet upfront taste. Actually, sweet in overall. Strong notes of pale malts and grassy hops. Medium bitterness. Heavy body. Average carbonation. Sweet pale malts in the afteraste. Medium to low drinkability. Too sweet and booze. No big deal as expected.

nathanvc (796) - Brugge, BELGIUM - MAY 22, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2017 Pours clear and fizzing with a collapsing, off-white head. The weak aroma contains corn, maize, lots of sugar, cardboard and alcohol. It tastes medium to heavy sweet which becomes cloying in the end. Almost no bitterness our sourness detectable. The alcohol burns though I expected it to do so even more, whilst I wouldn’t say this is 10%. Medium long finish, light body, soft carbonation, oily/sticky texture. Alcoholic’s delight; avoidable!

33cl bb03/2017 (...), BLsampler 04/2017. - Bref: sugar-boosted Cointreau runnings, the discerning European bridgedweller’s canned booster of choice and still a classy step up from most US malt liquor thanks to generic Belgian coriander broth or the like - Drinkability among the heated malt fumes is sheer evil. In Belgium also handily available in throwaway cans.

roldano (162) - - FEB 14, 2017
Espuma blanquecina que se disipa, color dorado transparente con apenas burbujas brotando, aroma ligeramente dulce en nariz, sabor potente.

comperchris (142) - - DEC 17, 2016
Pours flat and amber, could be any generic lager even in a chalice. Smells of caramel, butterscotch and alcohol. Tastes sweet caramel developing into a long bitter alcohol finish. Grew on me throughout the bottle, doesn’t hide its strength.

Ysok02 (1913) - Mons, BELGIUM - DEC 9, 2016
Robe blonde, reflets dorés, mousse crémeuse. Nez sur le houblon, le caramel, le malt. Bouche ronde, onctueuse, mais milieu de bouche creux et mou avec une finale doucereuse. A oublier.

Alex60 (333) - - DEC 5, 2016
Bouteille 33 cl - couleur blonde claire avec de fines bulles, odeur d’alcool et de houblon, goût direct sur l’alcool ce qui gache le goût

Ferris (17070) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2016
Bottle - Sweet pale malts and boozy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet and some fruity notes, touch of bitterness and booze. Not a fan.

VueltaBirrista (158) - Murcia, SPAIN - NOV 4, 2016
Aroma dulce a miel y licor. Entra dulce y licorosa durante unos segundos, pero al rato se torna amarga, sensación que va creciendo en boca hasta convertirse en retrogusto algo seco y metálico. Muy carbonatada.
