Ingredients: Water, Malt, Sugar, Hops.
In 1992, Gordon launches Finest Gold, a strong and refined beer with a typically Scottish character, combining the forces of charm and persuasion. Its origins and its strength (10% degrees of alcohol) give it its smooth taste and explosive nature. The taste of this incomparable beer is nevertheless entirely suited to the new demand of its many enthusiasts. Gordon Finest Gold is today available in 33 cl and 50 cl cans.

bottled 33cl. Gold to orange with a thin head. smells like industrial lagers of the same color : very noticeable, yet unappealing dark base malts. too sweet, sticky, too alcoholic. other then that, tastes like the aroma. the bitterness is boring. generally a very standard lager, even if its sweet and strong. I used to like this beer before I got into beer tasting. Ignorance is a bliss

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2017 Pours clear and fizzing with a collapsing, off-white head. The weak aroma contains corn, maize, lots of sugar, cardboard and alcohol. It tastes medium to heavy sweet which becomes cloying in the end. Almost no bitterness our sourness detectable. The alcohol burns though I expected it to do so even more, whilst I wouldn’t say this is 10%. Medium long finish, light body, soft carbonation, oily/sticky texture. Alcoholic’s delight; avoidable!

33cl bb03/2017 (...), BLsampler 04/2017. - Bref: sugar-boosted Cointreau runnings, the discerning European bridgedweller’s canned booster of choice and still a classy step up from most US malt liquor thanks to generic Belgian coriander broth or the like - Drinkability among the heated malt fumes is sheer evil. In Belgium also handily available in throwaway cans.

Pours flat and amber, could be any generic lager even in a chalice. Smells of caramel, butterscotch and alcohol. Tastes sweet caramel developing into a long bitter alcohol finish. Grew on me throughout the bottle, doesn’t hide its strength.

A oublier.

Bottle - Sweet pale malts and boozy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet and some fruity notes, touch of bitterness and booze. Not a fan.

VueltaBirrista (104) - Murcia, SPAIN - NOV 4, 2016
Aroma dulce a miel y licor.

Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - OCT 25, 2016

klukas (286) - Rijeka, CROATIA - OCT 1, 2016
Enjoyed: On tap. Appearance: Clear deep golden colour, with rich white foam. Aroma: A hint of alcohol. Palate: Medium to full body, low carbonation. Taste: Sweet than bitter and then again sweet/bitter aftertaste; hint of alcohol. Overall impression: Pleasant, drinkable.
