0.33L bottle, almost no head whatsoever, dark gold colour, just a touch hazy. some candy and earthy yeasty aroma, some unpleasant sweetness a touch of bread and a strong coarse alcohol, the finish is bitter and alcoholic. certainly strong, but nothing belgian about it apart from the fact that it was made there. Feels much more like a malt liquor.

Bottle. Clear golden color with a small white head that falls immediately. Aroma of alcohol, yeast and fruits. Very sweet strong alcoholic flavor with some fruitiness. A drier alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied and slightly syrupy. Pretty awful.

75cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, not complex brew, too heavy, not balanced, clear, small head, nothing special, needs to be revised

Can. Okay, save yourself some money and take an alcohol swab, wrap it in a bandaid, dip it in petrol, add a dollup of corn syrup and then suck on it. Or, if you cant be bothered "homebrewing" this shit, then go ahead and spend the money if you must. But really, you should take my word that unless you live under a bridge in Belgium, this shit aint worth it. Drainpour.

Can in Brussels. Dark body with slight head. Sweet nose and taste. But way too high ABV. Pure malt liquor. Pass.

Bontus (794) - Flanders, BELGIUM - MAY 6, 2009
50cl can. Shared with Bonfunck. Pours dark lager yellow. This is simple malt liquor. Sweet and very alcoholic. Drinking it cold not much of aromas to find.

I always over look this type of stuff when I see it on the shelf in supermarkets, as the price tag puts me off - $4 - $7 for the big can. Seems like cheap shitty lager. I was quite impressed with it though. It had a firm malt flavour that hid the 12%abv well. No new hops to speak of, however the ballance was earthy with slight herb.
