50 cl. can. Medium gold color with a frothy white head. Mostly corny aroma, but there seems to be underlying light stone fruit as well. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Its all about the alcohol. It burns. The flavors, if any, are rather dissolved in it. Resembles high gravity American lagers, but definitely not so sickening. Drunk for little money. Who needs flavor for that?

750 ml corked bottle. Deep golden-amber color, poor head that doesnt hold and no lace. Smell of fruits, candy, glazed fruits, marzipan, but rather artificial. Body is lighter than it should, flavor of fruits, spices, pepper, but again rather artificial. A wannabe champagned like beer, though not absolutely bad, in fact i woulnt mind to have another for some other day.

(on bottle)Having not that big a choise, I was suckered into buying not one, but two bttles of this awfull stuff. Calling a Belgian Strong Ale is a joke, this is pure Malt Liqour. Stingy, sweet aroma, colored like horsepiss and with a big white heaad, this brew continues to be a cloying, powdereating musclebunch of forced alcohol and nothinhg else.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2008 Very pale golden beer with a thick creamy head. Aroma is very spicy and loaded with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Fairly peppery with a fresh spicy aroma. Flavour is quite boozy and alcoholic though. Pepper and a soft spiciness. As it warms some light strawberry aroma comes up along with some white grape and cherry. Surprisingly drinkable for a beer with so much alcohol in it. Some sharp cinnamon flavour on the back. Not a bad beer and quite a bit more subtle than it ought to be.

On tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa in Trastevere, Rome. Smells high in alcohol; almost vinous. Dark gold body with some carbonation. Thin white to slightly off white head. Some lace. Higher alcohol flavor. Smooth and strong. Somewhat sweet. Pretty good overall. Doesnt taste like 12%. A nice understated sipper that gets you where you want to go quickly. Strong.
