Tasting notes: Pours a clear golden color with a tiny white head that fades away and leaves a headless beer. Aroma is sweet but almost not apparent. The flavor consists mainly of a slight sweetness, maybe some malts but in the end an alcoholic metal finish that ends dry but leaves some sticky sweetness in your mouth. Medium body, too few carbonisation in my opinion.
Conclusion: Quite a dissapointment. From al the ’Gorden Finest’ beers I’ve had this one has the least flavor but the most alcohol. This makes me conclude that this beer is interesting if you want to get drunk easily, however considering the high price there are better alternatives.
Golden blonde colour with an amber gleam, quickly dissappearing head.
The smell is very strong as of the first pour, reminds me of sweet aperitifs, fruity, alcoholic and with only a hint of beer.
The taste is strong but can’t hide that there is actually not that much body considering this is a 12% beer; it’s alcoholic, some malts but mostly warming alcoholic. Rather bitter but not excessive and at least it’s a proof there are some hops in there so this is really a beer. The sweet fruitiness that was at first apparent in the nose is not reflected in the taste. Little carbonation, maybe too little as that would help to take away from the predominant alcoholic impession.
The aftertaste is bitter and still alcoholic but not very strong for a 12% beer.
Strong but too little body and far too one-dimensional to be rated any higher. And I still wonder who on earth drinks 50 cl cans of such strong beer... can’t be aimed at the student population since it’s not a cheap alternative to better brews. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 9, 2012
The head is medium. It smells like rum, wooden-oak. The taste is alcoholic, gasy and a bit malty. To strong alcoholic. 10/2/3/3/12/2
