Strong apple aroma. Red, beige head, very nice lace. Sweet to very sweet, light spices, light bitter to bitter in the finish, strong apple flavor, little sticky, alcohol burning sensation in the finish. Not bad at all for a macro brewed beer.
Earlier Rating: 3/26/2002 Total Score: 3.1
Re-rate, Bottled, blind tasting session: Aroma is like strawberry champagne for kids with light hops. Red/orange color, off-white head, good lace. Very sweet, light increasing bitterness, hint of strawberry in the flavor as well, sugar, light hop bitterness, soft. March 2002, 3.3: Wine, dry barnyard aroma. Amber/red, off-white frothy head, diminishes fast, nice lacing. Wine flavor, alcohol bitterness, moderate sweet, moderate full. Short sweet finish with a little pepper and little burn.

Seems the appropriate time of year for this fellow. Aroma starts with harsh maltiness, which gives way to a good sellection of fruits. Taste is also fruity however seems flatter than what it should be, very little carbonation. Intresting character.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Lots of hoppy flowers in aroma. Really good. Nice hoppy bitter flavor, average finish. Oily palate, strange european strong lager, but I really like this beer.

Small off-white head but persistent. Reddish brown color. Caramel and honey notes. Medium body. Nicely sweet and bitter flavour with long duration.
