COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gordon Scotch Ale was born in the limpid highlands among isolated lochs and haunting Scottish castles. This brown beer, reminiscent of a dark ruby, is full of contrast - both strong and smooth. Its creamy head is delectation for the palate. This unique nectar can also be discovered under the name of Douglas Scotch Ale. Has been renamed Finest Scotch in 2006.
Note: ABV at some point from 8.6% to 8%.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2016 Pours clear ruby with a medium tan head. Nose of caramel, toast, dried fruit. Tastes sweet with just a hint of bitterness and sourness on finish. Full body, medium carbonation, a little sticky. Not bad but lacks complexity, and a bit too sweet for my taste.

Aus der Flasche im Mommseneck getrunken. Klares Braun mit stabilem beigem Schaum. In der Nase malziger Alkohol, der sich beim Trinken noch verstrkt.

bottle: pours a red brown dark maple syrup colour with a nice tan head that dissipates quickly....dried fruit, caramel, and butterscoch dominate the aroma that is a little subdued....definite ester action going on in this one = butterscotch, toffee....maltiness...definite sweetness...a nutty taste as well...alcohol noticeable ..Im not a fan really of scotch ales but this one is growing on me ....well balanced

Sinceramente non sopporto questo tipo di birre, ma questa almeno un poco, anche se con fatica riesco a finirla...
