33cl bottle. pours a dark ruby color with a medium off-white head. The foam is medium lasting and not very good lacing. Aroma is predominantly sweet: heavily malty with molasses and toasted sweetness. Vinous alcohol and fruits in my nose too. Flavor is strong and sufficiently complex: mostly sweet and alcoholic at the beginning turning to bitterness in the end. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, a gorgeous beer.

bhensonb (14482) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 17, 2010
Bottle from a small shop on the south side of the south plaza where the buses come and go in Bruges. West of the red monstrosity. Pours really dark brown/black with a very foamy/cllingy beige/tan head. Mildly xmas spice aromas. Full body. Lots of flavor. Dark roasted malt and mixed spice. Creates a strong herb/spice sensation in the mouth. Its a heavy beer. Not a great beer, but a very sturdy and acceptable beer. Lots of caramel. Lots of flavor -repeated.
