I actually visited the brewery in Austria. It was nothing special, but I liked their ad campaign: "Gut. Besser. Gösser." Heh. Umm, it's kinda refreshing but a bit watery for my taste. Inoffensive but not really worth a second try, ja? Damage (77) - London, Ontario, CANADA - APR 16, 2004
Pours pale and sparkling with a thin head; grassy-malt aroma; bittersweet malt flavour; very refreshing Austrian brew. (500ml can) JPDIPSO (6293) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 8, 2004
Lightly hazed straw color with a moderate white head. Small amount of lace. Light sweet malt aromas with hints of noble hops. Light and near fizzy. Finish has a tea type bitterness. Quenching type of lager. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 7, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2008 Actually first had regular Gosser in Vienna a couple of years ago. Pale yellow in color with a foamy white head. Weak malty aroma, slightly sweet flavor. Light in alcohol. Not my favorite style, but palatable. Aldrighetti (163) - Coltura, ITALY - APR 3, 2004
Bottled. Pale yellow colour, sweet nose, malty and a bit herbal. Empty mouthfeel, light body.

Pours clear gold with high bubbly carbonation. Short lasted small white head. Bit of sweet malt in the aroma, and a touch of metallic hops. Smooth thin-medium bodied. Pretty bland malty flavour, balanced quite well. Very clean lingering sweet finish. Refreshing, and better than I expected for an "export" beer. - I should note its just under 40 degrees celcius while I'm rating this though. Crash (549) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - MAR 12, 2004
Golden in color with a big fizzy head that doesn't last very long. It had a light bitter taste and after-taste. Just not that good. Choos (754) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - MAR 11, 2004
Aroma is slightly grainy that reminded me of oats but could be described as wet straw as others have rated. Appearance is yellow to orange and slightly hazy (not from yeast) with a smallish head that leaves a hint of lacing. Flavour is bland with a hint of caramel/sugar sweetness and bready finishing with a hint of hops but not sharp tang. MaxPower (961) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 1, 2004
So this is Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's favorite beer, imported from Austria with a 12/20/03 best before date. It pours a clear straw golden color with a decent white head that doesn't last too long, yet leaves some lacing, light grainy and flowery aromas. Bready and grainy flavors, light to medium bodied, nice crisp and carbonated mouthfeel, finishes clean with some sweetness, I am very impressed with this above average Jedsbrew (464) - Rhineland, Missouri, USA - JAN 26, 2004
Typical golden lager appearance along with a slight chill haze and a mild bready aroma. Light to medium bodied with a sweet caramely flavor and a faint bitterness in the short finish. Seemed sugary and wasn't all that good.
