Bottled(500ml). -By far the best Hungarian macro beer. Reddish/brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, milk chocolate and cocoa nose. Pleasant chicory taste with notes of chocolate and light roasted malt finish. Alcohol is very discreet. Finally something enjoyable from Hungary.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who found it in Hungary. Poured an extremely dark red-brown body witha medium to big thick tan head. The nose proved to be far nicer than expected, fine chocolate (from cocoa to milk chocolate), light coffee. The taste is sweet and dominated by chicory, however, again showing some chocolate,a bit milky. Some extremely light hop, some roastiness. Wow. Not too complex but tasty and superb for a macro. Well imagine that, the best Gösser I’ve tried so far is actually brewed in Hungary. Heh. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 12, 2009
Bottled, sampled in Budapest.
Reddish-brown colour with rich, airy off-white head, that leaves a nice curtain inside the glass. Soft, cocoa aroma, with notes of grass and almonds. Nicely malty already in aroma. Mouthfeel is very soft and medium-bodied, with a malty backbone that’s gentle but solid. Bit of grassiness here as well, also tad cocoa. Low bitterness as expected. Very clean in flavour with no flaws. Very solid, tasty bock here! armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 20, 2008
Wow! A good stuff from a hungarian industrial brewery! Nice ruby-brown color, delicious, medium beige head. Fine aroma of roasted grains, coffee, some spicy perfume. Smooth mouthfeel, characteristic flavor of roasted malt, fine hop, dark chocolate, coffee. Fine dry aftertaste of roasted malt. I cannot believe that! Hurray! You can buy it in the hungarian Tesco or Cora hypermarkets.

Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is roasted malts and some dark fruits. Flavor is much of the same with a good balance. The ABV doesn’t taste at all. ogreface (1390) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 25, 2008

Dark brown with red hues. Huge frothy beige head with good lacing and better retention than Dreher Bak. Richer aroma than Dreher- dark chocolate with toffee, grapes and plum. Heavy chcolate feeling initial flavor (pleasant and creamy). Toasted mild dry malty in the finish. Very smooth oily body with discreet carbonation. Well hidden alcohol. pumpmaster (1393) - Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA - MAY 14, 2009

Appearance: Pours very dark, not see through rubby to amber body colour, in texture body is practically not see through but still it is easy to say that it is crystal clear, carbonation of the body is moderate but hard to notice due to body intensity, head is initially medium, slowly decreasing to small, leaving nice lacing, cappuccino like, yellowish brownish in colour, frothy in texture and very stable.
Aroma: Slightly burned ant toasty malt, very nice vanilla - flowery hoppy profile, pleasant and strongly pronounced malty base, especially plum, red berries, wildberries, cranberries, red wine grapes, cappuccino, good quality coffee, Munich malt, whipped cream, butter, butteracotch, very complex with many hints being really hard to describe.
Flavour: Very nice strongly roasty and slightly alcoholic front, very mellow with reduced sourness to almost non - existant, Munich malt, toasted and roasted grains, coffee, toffee, vanilla, flowery hoppyness, butterscotch, caramell, perfect quality coffee, gentle saltyness, gentle alcohol warming up the easters and very long finish duration.
Palate: Body is full, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is moderate, finish feel is a bit alcoholic, highly astringent, dusty, strongly bitter, regular and pleasant.
