It does loook like Coca Cola. Dark, translucent cherry wood, with a fragile white head. Smells sweet, roasted malts...no: toasted malts. Sweet bakery smell of freshly-baked cross buns. The taste has that typical Dunkelness (not Darkness, neither Dunkelheit), with sweet malty flavours, biscuits, Lebkuchen, allspice with cinnamon, cloves and cardamon, all well-packed together and rounded to difuse the complexity. Palate is a bit ashy-chalky, sticking to the teeth. The finish is long and subtle, but when you turn around, your tongue is covered in this sticky tannin-type of film. Strange. Not a bad beer, but perhaps not something to get too excited about. SheffieldSteel (118) - St Nikolai im Sausal, AUSTRIA - OCT 23, 2012
Aroma of toast and yeast. Pours thick off-white head.Colour is hazy dark brown, with an amber hue. Taste is thick and sweet with some toffee, plum and toffee apple. Watery. Light carbonation. Finish long and bitter. Decent ABV on this would make it a good choice for a session beer when looking for something a bit different. Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Bottled. Poured medium brown with a short beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasted nutty and vanilla-kissed coffee malts.. came across very sweet. The flavor found very sweet chocolate, vanilla, and caramel malt with very light, toasty bitterness around.. sweet, fairly tasty finish. Light-bodied with higher carbonation.. very sweet, but not overly so for the style.. aiight. KingCecil (2087) - DENMARK - OCT 6, 2012

If you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was a glass of Coke with a frothy white head and a slight haze. Oddly enough there is an aroma of cola nut along with cocoa in the aroma, some dusty grain silo and dark malt. The flavour is very much a manifestation of the aroma with some pecan nuttiness. This is the enduring flavour in the finish which is helped by persistent fine bubbles. A tasty drop. omega (899) - NEW ZEALAND - SEP 22, 2012
Poured with a generous head. Big dark colour which looks impressive. However does hold up in the tasting. Little thin on the palate. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 17, 2012

Dark brown scattered lace
Smells good and bready. The palate is sugary and the malts are underdeveloped and it soon becomes too sweet and cloying; the body can’t keep up with the sugars.

Mörk lager med tydlig kaffedoft. Inte min typ av mörk lager. Smakar kanske godare till kötträtter. Hansen (8618) - Assentoft, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2012
Gösser Dark Beer. Dark brown coloured and clear. Has an off-white head, medium duration. Aroma is sweet, roasted with notes of soy-sauce. Flavor starts sweet, a bit thin. Soft carbonation.
