COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Der Inbegriff für österreichisches Märzenbier macht etwa 70% des Ausstosses der Gösser Brauerei aus und ist Österreichs beliebstestes Märzenbier. Das untergärige, helle Vollbier ist in der Farbe strohgelb und im Duft hefig-malzig. Der Antrunk ist von deutlichen Malztönen geprägt. Eine leichte, angenehme Hopfennote rundet den harmonischen Geschmack von Gösser Märzen ab.

Bottle from supermarket. Golden clear body with medium head that leaves a lot of lacing. Light aroma of grain, grass, hay. Taste with the same aromas, sweet, almost no bitterness. Thin body. Meh. Typical boring Austrian Märzen.

BOTTLE (EXP 02/2014) Head: white, medium, frothy to creamy, so so retention. Colour: bright golden, clear. Aroma; malt, sweaty, maybe some boiled vegetables. Taste: malty, sweet and sourish, faint but definite bitterness, co2 acidity. An ordinary lager, that might have a bit stronger of a body.

Can on flight. Lightest marzen I’ve ever had. Pours clear yellow with a medium sized white head, decent carbonation. The aroma has straw, hay. The taste has some grass, hay, a light hop bite.
