ABV. 4.5%. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark bread, roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, roasted, bread notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
33 cL bottle, as Dark Beer. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted and breadish. Roasted malty and caramelish. Draft @ Gösser Bierklinik, Vienna. Pours a dark brown amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.

Bottled (from Systembolaget, Mölnvik Gustavsberg). Deep amber, close to copper colour, with a mediumsized off-white to beige head. Aroma is caramel, some quite sugary and ryelike notes along with mild bitterness. Flavour is rye, caramel, some mild toasted notes as well as mild floral notes. UPDATED: DEC 24, 2008 <i>Bottled. </i> Mahogany colour, creamy head. Nutty and roasty. Medium bodied and fruity with rounded mouthfeel. Malt sweet with low bitterness.

Draft in Salzburg, Austria. As ’Gosser Schwarzbier’. Very dark beer with a frothy head. Smooth and light - not at all bitter. Very gentle coffee malt notes and distinct walnuts. Smooth dry finish. Lovely fresh tasty beer.

Cremig malziger Antrunk, ins röstmalzerne gehend. Zum Mittelteil steigern sich die Aromen, das Bier wird cremiger, malziger und deutlich würziger. Dunkel malzern und leicht schokoladig geht es in den Nachgeschmack. Ein süffiges Dunkles mit langem röstmalzigen Finish, und das bei 4,2 Volumenprozent - Spitzenbier!
