Bottle shared at Haket, Goteberg while talking with the brewer. Pours golden with a white head. Big malt and bread in the aroma. Flavour is medium bitter, more malt and a little citrus hops. Lower carbonation than I would expect. A nice example of the style.

Bottle, dark gold. I feel they have managed to make an old fashioned stronger Scadinavian lager here, Malty body, long bitter flavour from tha aromatic hops. But not very exiting.

Bottle 50 cl, Kråkan Krog. Pours clear amber with a great off white head leaving lace. Aroma is malty, bready, sweet, fruity and a bit soapy. Flavor is good gor a lager, steady malty base, sweet, well hopped bitter, bready and a bit fruity. Finishes malty and bitter.

500 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 20. Pours golden with a frothy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace. Smell is bready and slightly stale with yeast, some fruit and grass. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter with lots of yeasty bread, some fruit and butterscotch. Finish is sweet and slightly bitter with golden syrup and yeast. Good for a pale lager but still a pale lager...

Overall, this is one of the better lagers I’ve had in quite some time, even if it did taste a bit off. The pour is no surprise: good lacing, mild head, and a pale golden color. The nose is where it seemed a bit off (in a good way), being somewhat funky, almost sour, with a nice apple aroma. The taste is mild, smooth and well rounded. A very mild bitterness gives way to an ever so slight sourness in the finish, but only slight. Whatever the reason for the sourness might be, I found that to be the best part of this lager (I love barnyard flavors). The mouthfeel is creamy and somewhat sparkling, reflecting its respectable amount of carbonation.

03.04.2011. 0,5l Bottle. Systembolaget Strömstad. Yellow colour with white head. Aroma is malty witha very good bitterness. There is an aromatic bitterness with a little sour notes and there is also summer freshness and flowers. I think this is a very good pilsner. Why is this listed as a pale lager?

500 ml bottle. Pale golden and crystal clear. Tall fluffy white head. Light citrusy and floral hop aroma. Crisp hop flavour and a nice light maltiness. Not at all bitter, but has a nice hoppy bite without going overboard as the malts are on the light side. Overall a nicely drinkable strong pilsener. A little low carbonation level.

(Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival, 2 Oct 2010) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grass and citrus. Malty, bready taste with grass, citrus and a decent grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some malt sweetness. Decent and highly drinkable for a pale lager at that strength.
