Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 28, 2017
Bottle @ Bayreuth. Pours amber with a small white head. Bread, caramel and Dark fruit. Medium bodied. Rustic in a way. Short bitter finish.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy brown with a white head, Aroma of caramel, light grains, marzipan, dried fruits, slight toffe. Taste is rather sweet, loads of dried and caramel, lightly bitter, light dusty, but i think it has some qualitys.

MartinT (9852) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 20, 2017
My Bottom Line:
Apricot jam and caramel limp towards a sweetish finish in this lacklustre Zwicklbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear amber.
-Mouthfeel is slick and bubbly. Doesn’t really serve the subtle flavour profile all that well, methinks.
-More herbal hops wouldn’t hurt in the back.
-This doesn’t have the character of a typical Franconian Landbier; it is well made, but tastes somewhat generic.

On tap at Café Kraftraum, Bayreuth, as Stöckels Zwickl.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, a bit darker than exspected. Starts malty, mild, not too dry. Mild roasty notes. Finish dry-malty, more hoppy. Okay.

Moravius (1278) - Beijing, CHINA - DEC 18, 2013
Flasche. - Appetitliches Kupferrot. Nase säuerlich-fruchtig-hopfig.

Test vom 8.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,12,12,12,12 - 12,00
