Small white head. Clear yellow body. Herbal oily strawy aroma with fruity notes. Sweetish strawy earthy oil taste with dusty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Sweetish spicy sugary dusty strawy aftertaste with mealy herbal notes. Lovely beer! Intensely drinkable, vivid and fresh. Hazy orange body with a short, quickly-dying head.
Fruity citrus hops and malt sugar in the nose with an under-fermented / limp pale malt (soggy crackers and malt syrup) character.
Medium body + low acid + low carbonation = flabby / watery mouthfeel.
Worty and raw, though not *as* raw as most. Subtle hop aroma gives it some life, but it’s still a very messy, unfinished beer.
In short: A thirst blond beer with a strange rutabaga off-flavor. Just ok.Nekronos (4213) - Xalapa, MEXICO - MAY 14, 2012
How: Tap at brewpub and 1L PET bottle split 4-way
The look: Almost clear blonde body topped by long-lasting small white head
In long: Nose has light notes of honeyed hay, some grassy noble-ish hops and fresh vegetable notes. Taste of fresh grainy cereals (very grainy/ husky), honey, hay, grassy/bitter hops, notes of citric and topical fruits. Finish is relatively dry and with a mild bitterness. Smooth carbonation. All that would be just fine and would make for a good thirst quencher but I was there was a distinctive raw rutabaga flavor that was bothering me. I didn’t get it from the bottle but it was unmistakable to me in the tap version at the brewpub (although I must say I was the only one who got it). The brewpub itself has a nice rustic charm, and the village seems to be very poor, primitive even by my north-American standards, I bet there are people living there who have to go poop with a newspaper instead of a smart phone.
NIce, different, cloudy and yeasty. NIce to have these beers in the festival. Excellent versions of beer in the folk.

My Bottom Line:FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 2, 2011
Polished honeyed malts are joined by subtle hay, as almond-y cereals and herbal hop bitterness complete each sip.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the misty golden.
-The low carbonation and subtle flavor intensity are reminiscent of the countryside brews in the area this is brewed, but the lack of earthiness and/farmhouse character doesn’t really spell Kaimiškas Alus.
-Body is svelte, and drinkability appealing.
-On top of being herbal and lightly bitter, the finish is dry and a tad toasty.
Bottle and on tap at the brewery bar.
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2015 1L bottle (From a stall at a street fair in Kaunas) (5:3:5:3:11=2.7)
5 Very vegetal aroma, quite grungy, but not unpleassant. Quite fresh and a little nutty.
3 Hazy gold, very little head.
5+ Simple eco grainy taste, quite farmhousy, a little sweet, dusty and earthy yeastiness too. Gentle hops have their part as well.
3 Simple fullish palate, carbonation low. Finish nutty, vegetal, a touch bready, and with a reasonable bitter bite.
11 Good full traditional folk beer. Had only 2 weeks on the BB, and so we drank it soon after we got home. (Probably an ale, but one can’t be too sure, there’s definitely a crossover of styles.)
Rerate: Tap (Rozalimas Brewery Tap) (5:3:6:3+:12=2.9)
Herby and vegetal aroma. Cleaner taste, slight wooly bitterness which stays for the finish. Good refreshing unfiltered lager. Nice noble hop finish. Was 40c for 500ml - wow!
Rerate: Tap (Pakruojis Music and Beer Festival 2015) (6+:3:6:3+:13+=3.1+++)
Spicy aroma. Beautifully soft fresh light grains in the taste, vanilla sweetness, malted milk even. Finish is dry and peppery - blimey, this is a damn good kellerbier.
