COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pilsner is lager with a personality. It’s famously Czech in origin, but here we’ve gone for a South Pacific hop profile in keeping with the people who brew it and drink it. Passionfruit, grapefruit and sauvignon blanc characters abound, stacked up on a robust malt base that’s partly German, partly Kiwi.

Pours a clean golden color with a bigger, froth white head. Smells of blood oranges, kiwi, white lemon zest with a crackery straw quality underneath. Has a lively carbonation, soft on the palate with a refreshing fruity beginning and a dry, crackery finish. Tastes of wet hay, sweeter straw and lots of bitter lemon among a pleasant malt note. Offers more blood oranges and toffee during mid palate, finished by a dry, fruity lemon quality. Very flavorful and taste, more of an pale ale to me than a Pils, still awesomly good tasting.

Bottle. Somewhat hazy yellow colour with a large rocky head. Initial nose was tropical but fades to grassy and hops. Flavour follows the nose, nice bitterness at the back end. Enjoyable pilsner.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2017 Probably the best pilsener I’ve tried, which means it rates like a plain session IPA. Merest whiff of hops, but at least it didn’t have the sulphurous stench of most pils. Quite drinkable and good for a session in the sun, but not so much for a hop hound after a hit

500 ml bottle.A beautiful fruity crisp pilsner. Exactly what youd want on a hot day.
