"Sambariu Beer"
In the old times, „Sambariu“ beer was believed to bring better barley after the sowing of grain. During this ritual, all the people would bring their own barley and contribute to brewing „Sambariu“ beer. After the beer was brewed, village people gathered in a house decorated with flowers, they listened to the music, danced and drank beer.

[email protected] Amber reddish almost clear. Malty, heavy dry caramelly nose. Rich caramels, bit old leafy hops, caramels. A heavy drink.

3fourths (9386) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle at Bambalyne in Vilnius.
Oxidized malt / notebook paper.
Plaster / drywall yeast.
Chewy, grainy dog food malt aroma and flavor.
Decent body, good froth, medium to full mouthfeel.
Medium sweetness, low bitterness.
Metal and tomato / sweet catsup notes present.
Soured cola and vegetables after it breathes.
Another flaw-ridden country beer, this one with surprisingly full carbonation in the mouth but little to no visible signs in the glass. Raw, grainy, under-fermented with some strange DMS-like faults (take your typical carrot / cabbage character and add some catsup, paprika and garlic... siracha sauce!)

1L bottle @ KBF. Rated on 26.11.2010
Aroma is rather strong on butter. Also some sweetish honey notes and grainy malt. Flavour is a bit odd and sweet with butter, spices and some grainy malt. Odd stuff, but decent for a 8% pale lager.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2012
In short: A big sweet copper lager with a spicy twist. Meh.
How: Tap directly at the brewery restaurant
The look: Clear copper topped by an off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose is malty and a tiny bit spicy. Taste is oily caramelized malts, oily roasted nuts, a surprisingly strong spiciness sensation, some candies and notes of sweet breakfast fruit jam. This felt a bit heavy for a beer that is only 8%, low drinkability. Not my thing. Certainly the most memorable beer I had during the Lithuanian road trip, a road trip that I find hard to describe, I don’t know if I should describe it as a trip where I was taking naps between drinking beer or a trip during which I was drinking beer between naps.
