Deep dark amber colored with vanishing yellow head. Chocolaty aroma with sweet caramel and toffee note. Medium bodied. Flavor is also chocolaty with same chocolate, still rather one dimensional brew. Sweet aftertaste still with caramel, mild hops also here.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!)@Timo A Tasting Session, Tampere. Very reddish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is spices, burnt sugar, some toasted malts as well as caramel. Flavour is malts, some mashlike sweetness, mild alcohol, nuts and some herbal notes as well. As it warms up also licorice shows up quite strongly. Christmassy beer indeed.

75cl bottle, kvickly allerød bought nov.24.2008.. pours dark brown with a thick not that large offwhite smooth head. aroma is dominantly a spice mix, followed by alc. some sweetness in there and perhaps a little roasted malts. aroma has something like cheap toffee or cheap bitter caramel that i don’t like. flavor is dark caramel, toffee, sweetness, that bitterness again but less strong, bitterness could perhaps resemple burnt plastic or burnt something else you don’t want in your beer.mouthfeel is good, and it ens with nice sweetness unbalanced by this burnt bitterness. could be the spices i don’t like, i dunno.

Tasting at Papsoe
Red-chestnut color. Caramel brew, light aroma, strong flavor; the aroma has also some cereals, and the aftertaste is also nutty. Strong bitterness. Easily boring.
