UPDATED: JAN 29, 2008 66 cl bottle. Brown color, nice white head. Sweet, caramel malt, fruit, hints of honey and spices.

rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2007
Bottled. Charneol-red colour with low head. Malty aroma with honey pastilles and butterscotch. Flavour is caramelly malty and light sourish. Also a bit on the sweet side. Medium bitter.

Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - DEC 11, 2007
Hazy nutbrown look with a head disappearing so fast, you hardly notice its there. The overall dominating aroma is honney, could smell it a meter away when the bottle was oponed, before anything was poored from it. Mixed with the aroma is some spices, guess when im told its nutmeg, i can smell it, but really, i think its more peppery. Flavor is definetly mainly sweet, which really hides the alchohol well, didnt think it was 7% till i saw. It has a decent amount of dusty hobs aswell, leaving some bitterness in the end aswell.

An annoying, unnatural sweetness that is attempted masked by a horde of inappropriate bitterness and a veritable bubble fest -- this beer does nothing to subvert my image of this brewery as a mainstream-ish wannabee. Like all Gourmet Bryggeriet’s wares that I’ve tasted, this offering lacks depth, that which is genuine and heartfelt brewer’s pride. No use in going into a technical description of impressions per se, that can be found elsewhere on these pages, but for the umpteenth time I feel compelled to bash the glaring lack of soul in so many DK micros. Revelling in fine drink, the spirit is lifted up to the heavens; swilling old dregs like this, it is depressed.

Dark amber colour with medium beige head.Taste of fruit and spices, cinnamon and a touch of wheat.Great Christmas beer with fine finish.

cheeta (1181) - Langå, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2007
Moderate complex malty aroma. Huge frothy, light brown head. Good lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Red brown body. Moderate sweet and light smoked initial flavor. Medium palate.

vonsolms (38) - Måløv, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2007
Nice clean taste and follow through. Colour a bit pale for a Christmas beer, but a solid beer. Holds its own

Defreni (3286) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2007
Flaske. Malt malt og atter malt. På den ikke så fede måde. Ikke rigtig noget andet at sige, andet end at den bestemt ikke er en god juleøl i mine øjne.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 3, 2007
Dark brown, moderate head. The aroma has notes of fruit, caramel and spice. the flavour has the same notes, it’s sweetish with a light bitter/dry finish with a hint of resin.

Øl fået til ølsmagning En af mine yndlingsøl til jul. Mørk gylden øl med let skum. karamel og kanel duft. Humlet smag , som dog er tilpas sødet og krydret. Meget drikkevenlig. Humlet eftersmag.
