Ale brewed with chesnuts. Very frothy and lively, refuses to stay in the glass! Cloudy brown colour with a biscuit coloured head with brown bits (chesnuts?) in it. Surprisingly fruity. Crisp with a sharp effervescense. Nice malty chesnut mid and finish. Dry crisp finish. Unusual and tasty beer.
Bottle: pours a hazy, dark, reddish brown with a thin whispy head that quickly disappears, not sure about the aroma, taste is sweet, a little roasted malt flavor, not bad. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - DEC 8, 2010
[Tap] Pours a light brown color without any head. Aroma of hazelnut, vanilla and cocoa. Caramel malts backbone in the taste. Nutty notes, along with brown sugar, molasses, cherry, plums and soft hoppy finish. Rich palate and fine carbonation. Exceptionally balanced, with a creamy mouthfeel. This beer is a nice change of pace. smith4498 (3650) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 27, 2010

750 mL bottle. Cloudy brown pour with no head. Aroma of caramel malt and herbs. Flat taste of lemongrass, caramel and yeast with a lingering finish. Had potential, think the bottle may have been spoiled with zero head. gnoff (10713) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2010

Murky brown color, small brown head. Fresh, sweet, chocolate scent. Sweet, chocolate, hoppy taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Lingering sweet aftertaste.
0.75l swingtop courtesy of fiulijn, huge thanks Alex! Murky red-brown, big tan head that went away at a medium pace. Sweet, pungent malty nose, sweet apple, quite dusty.Nice sweet chestnutty and yoghurty malty taste, bit caramelly. A remarkably balanced beer, quite pleasant. elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - AUG 16, 2010
Bomber, beautiful packaging. Aroma is big, and lush: malt, sweet chestnut, baker’s chocolate, and nutella. Mouthfeel is medium in fullness, with good creaminess and a lightly dry finish. Flavor bursts forward with chocolate and chestnut, perfect harmony. There is a depth of malt flavor achieved here that I find particularly special. Great beer overall. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2010
