(Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with an almost absent, off-white head. Sweetish, lightly caramelish aroma. Fairly full body with sweetish, lightly caramelish malts. Subdued bitterness. I don’t really pick up the chestnuts, but this is drinkable stuff indeed. Courtesy of Ungstrup. 220207 Beerhunter111 (23247) - P?Castle, GERMANY - MAY 18, 2014
Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, Karamell. Geschmack nach gerösteten Nüssen, Kastanien, Karamell, fruchtig. Leighton (22769) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 28, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2010 Bottle, once at a tasting and once at Swift. Pours a cloudy, light brown with a substantial white head. Nose is all spice and sweet malt. Flavor is dynamic and mostly sweet. Lots of honey and chestnut, along with some less discernable spices. Nice and pretty unique. fiulijn (21506) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 5, 2006
Cloudy brown color, better head than the Melissa. The aroma shows some malt and a very light fruitness and hop. Medium body structure, with enough malt flavor; the chestnut flavor is subtle but clear, adding some complexity. A quite good Ale. TBone (18542) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 10, 2010

Deep amber-brown color, small creamyy beige head. Alcohol, wood, birch leaves in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toffee, chestnut, herbal notes. Like European Strong Lager with the vibe and toffee.
Amber pour in the glass. Heavy mouth feel with a nice chestnut finish. Rated 8/26/08 MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2008

33 cl. bottle. Clear dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of spice, caramel, malt, straw and lemon. Tmoney99 (15114) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 4, 2008
Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear brown color with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted nutty malt aroma. Medium to full body, sticky texture and thin particles. Medium sweet spicy flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Balanced drinkable beer that I shared with freinds. A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, a nice sweet spiced malt with dark fruits, banana esters, light smokey notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice peaty malt with prunes, bananas, a bit of cloves, rich and smooth. On tap at Birreria, Dec. 27 2011.
