farmflavors of aged broken egg, wood and other funky flavor and aromas mixed with a nutty slightly sweet toffee in alcohol. greasy and citrus balanced it is also a bit spicy in a different but balanced way with anise type licorice or probably just light rye or caraway seed in fresh forest green. tricky and demonstrative it is good for that reason and little else. touch of bitter that is unfinished and dryish.eehhh BeerandBlues2 (13210) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 17, 2012

Stor smag af karamel og mørke malte. En del sødme i den også der passer til den lille skarphed det er i den. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2007

Bottle. Hazy amber. Sourish smoky aroma with some yeastiness. Flavour of caramel, some smokiness, toasty maltiness. Sweet malty finish. drpimento (3572) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 25, 2010
Bottle was a gusher and lost about 40%. Poured with large (!) tan head and good lace. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is a slightly sour yeasty malty spicey and bitter belgian style. Flavor’s about the same. Decent body and carbonation (!) Slightly boozy at the end. Much better than the other Italian Chestnut beer I just had. But that’s not saying a lot. kevd193213 (991) - Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA - OCT 16, 2010
750 mL bottle. Cloudy brown pour with no head. Aroma of caramel malt and herbs. Flat taste of lemongrass, caramel and yeast with a lingering finish. Had potential, think the bottle may have been spoiled with zero head.
