Cloudy brown color, better head than the Melissa. The aroma shows some malt and a very light fruitness and hop. Medium body structure, with enough malt flavor; the chestnut flavor is subtle but clear, adding some complexity. A quite good Ale.

bottle thanks to markus. Pours hazy amber, smallish head. Aroma of chesnutts, malt, sugar, crystal malt? Flavor of sweet malt, chesnuts, dried fruits. Palate is smooth, medium mouthfeel. I liked this beer. Surprising.

0.75l swingtop courtesy of fiulijn, huge thanks Alex! Murky red-brown, big tan head that went away at a medium pace. Sweet, pungent malty nose, sweet apple, quite dusty.Nice sweet chestnutty and yoghurty malty taste, bit caramelly. A remarkably balanced beer, quite pleasant.

Bottle, as pictured, pours an almost purple-mahogany with minimal head. Smells of vanilla, strawberries, raspberries. Almost has a barleywine feel to it, though it’s a bit thinner than that. I don’t really taste the chestnuts, not much nutty flavor in it at all. It’s very sweet.

Ruby red in color... Aroma is sweet malts.... Flavor is slightly sweet with prevalent notes of roasted chestnuts, extremely unique... I like it...

Wood clad barrel pour at Churchkey. Poured a dark amber color, slightly off-white head, plenty of lacing. Aroma was notes of malt, with a touch of hazelnut. Touch of sour notes, with some sweet malts. Interesting brew.

Color ambrato carico con schiuma quasi inesistente. Al naso prevale il miele, ed una leggera presenza dell’aroma di castagna. In bocca si sente la componente alcolica, che domina, ma rimane molto godibile e per niente dolce. Non male.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hazy copper pour with a rather full off-white head. Lots of complex dark amber fruit. Hazelnuts. Fair amount of medium-blonde caramel notes. Some sour sparkle. Noticeable bite in the finish. Having an aged version. Cleverly better than it first seems.
