Notes from my iPhone. On tap @ Purple Pig. Slightly hazy golden amber with a very wispy fine head. Aroma is of sweet cereal, lightly spicy, and with more of a buckwheat aroma than anything nutty. Creamy soft mouthfeel, flavours of dates, light spice, vague fruit (quince maybe?). Again, nothing distinctly nutty, but a pleasant ale nonetheless. In short: Caramelized roasted nuts in a bottle. Decent beerZekada (427) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - DEC 1, 2014
How: From a bottle at Mondial De La Bière 2012
The look: Clear copper body topped by a tiny beige ring of foam
In long: Nose is roasted nuts, a bit of caramel and some phenols. Taste is like drinking caramelized roasted nuts. Very crunchy/husky maltiness sensation. There is also a spiciness sensation. Some wooden notes. Carbonation is a lot of small hard bubbles that made it hard to keep it the mouth, I think this beer could be really nice with softer bubbles. My last beer at Mondial 2012 festival, I had so much to drink during this week of Mondial+pubs festivities that when the week was over I thought that maybe not drinking beer for a few days could do me some good, but I guess we’ll never know.
Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma is sweet with caramel and malt. Pours amber with a rich beige head. Taste is very sweet and malty, though the palate is thin and drinkable. Overall a pretty nice beer, would recommend it if you haven’t tried it. mikeyo1 (840) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2014
Bottle @ home. Pours hazy amber with a quickly dissipating hrad. Sweet malty taste and aroma with caramel, biscuits, toffee, dry prunes. Hints of chocolate and chestnuts . Dry finish with wood, raisins, nuts and spices. rosenbergh (11613) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 30, 2015

Clear dark amber, airy beige head. Aroma has dried fruit and malt. Flavour has caramel and dried fruit. Can’t identify the chestnuts. Warming alcohol. Not bad. Block (2845) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - NOV 2, 2016
This is an interesting beer. More fruity than I was expecting. It’s strong but also refreshing. Light and sweet with alcoholic character. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2006
Bottle. A beer made with chestnuts, so naturally i found some nutty characters, in both aroma and flavour. Alcohol is fairly well noticed, and as dorquie mentions gives it a hint of liquer type qualities. Some subtle caramel, with a touch of woody dryness. Quite interesting.
