7 sept 2013, tap. Light copper, clear, some bubbles. Nose is white grape juice and faintly tart. Med body and moderately fizzy. White grape skins, orange pulp, faint oak, almost cheesy yeast.

Tap at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach for Sour Fest. Pours a clear red with medium foam and thick, sheets of lacing. Nose is mushroom and dusty attic at first moving eventually to fresher Brett B, berries, some bourbon or dark alcohol barrel. Taste is cedar/Brett B, must, raspberries. Cask at Maxs. Unfiltered orange-red-brown. Creamy fading off-white head. Soft on the palate, nice sour cherry tones, almost biting..but with a pleasant mellow brown malt backdrop. Slight hard to session, puckering. A touch of woodiness. Not at all like the regular version. A decent, mellow sour beer.

On tap at the Ginger Man. Pours a clear brown amber with a medium sized white head. Sweet fruit on the nose, port, wood, oak, fruit, berries. Lots of Flemish red notes. Medium bodied, caramel tones. Spicy and floral, zesty and tart. Light acid, warming alcohol, lightly tart, big heavy oak. Smooth and fruity, gentle acid, tart and sour with a lingering tartness. Very interesting, remarkably complex.
