May 2009: Cheap 50cl can from supermarket chain ’Llidl’, poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass (the only type I’ve got).
Looked OK, a normal murky, cloudy hefeweiss with no head and plenty of carbonisation to see rising up to the top.
The typical vanilla and banana smells were there at the start but faded somewhat during the tasting.
It was a little metallic in the taste, the flavours were there but it wasn’t as refreshing or tangy as the better beers in this style.
A bit on the thin side and weak throughout the tasting.
Cheap and weak sums this beer up.

Pours hazy golden color with large head. Aroma of wheat, grass, yeast and fruits. Flavor of wheat, yeast, mild fruits and grain.
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2012 500ml can vehnäolut 4,5%. Hazy light orange colour. Aroma is yeasty. Flavour is wheat and yeast, watery. Ok but not that great.
RETEST: Quite sweet, nice after sauna or with smoked fish. edpeg (906) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 25, 2012
Pale orange cloudy with white rocky head. Aromas wheat, grains, some clove , banana. Palate medium bodied, watery thin with smooth carbonation and mouth feel. MIddletaste wheaty, little yeasty, fruity and leathery. Aftertaste sweet malts, woody with hints of dry in there. Pretty flavourless hefeweisen, nothing special, drinkable. Looks pretty good. Looks like a hefe should. Dirty orange and hazy. White head. Aroma of banana and gum. Flavour is wheaty. It has gum flavour too. Flavour turns out to be rather flat. This is some rather watery stuff too.
