2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2013 Bottle, at my dad’s house. Did NOT care for regular Grain Belt as made by Schell’s, but this is the rule-breaker. I notice they’re not declaring so in their description, but this tastes like an all-malt amber. Decent "beer" smell after pouring, no sweet adjuncty notes. Amber colored body under a stiff white head. Drinks easily, and agrees more with the Vienna style (or the historic lagers like Yuengling). The usual plain beer mouthfeel, but again the all-malt brew is apparent and appreciated, although further on there may be a touch of corn or ricew. Hops are not too distinct, probably just the basic Noble varieties lending a bit of a prickle in the back of my mouth.
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2017 Draft. It poured a clear amber color. It has a caramel taste with some graininess in the taste. scotlandjake (9) - - AUG 7, 2017 does not count

Bottle. Aroma was a lot like a macro lager. Mostly bread and hay, any caramel malt was faded. Amber in color. Taste similar to a Yuengling, light sweet and medium low bitterness in the finish. Body is Medium-light. Not overly great or memorable. Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 28, 2016
Clear, dark amber with a short, off-white head.
Caramel and light cola scent.
Taste is pretty much the same....a little metallic bitter.
Nothing memorable, but nothing offensive either.....OK. Andrew196 (1993) - Katy, Texas, USA - JUL 18, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2016 Light amber in color, eggshell head with cascading lace. Aroma is sweet corn, florals, notes of honey. A little sweet earthiness on the tongue, crisp towards the finish, one dimensional. Bleh. jbuzz (838) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 12, 2016
