Sampled from a bottle from the brewery. A rich golden colour with a white head. The aroma is of sweet malts with a little citrus. The taste is similar, with a caramel sweetness followed by hints of lemon and tropical fruits. There is also grass and wood in the taste. Dryish finish and and moderate body. Quite tasty. 500ml bottle at home on 1st April 2016. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass pint tankard. Clear and clean golden body, the head a full white blanket of foam. Strange aroma and taste, Saison like farmyard esters and flavours: wasn’t expecting that. Some malty sweetness within the flavouring, honey like flavourings too. Not the best Grainstore beer for me by a long, long way. wheresthepath (2335) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2015
Cask at the Draper’s Arms, Peterborough. Deep gold with a thin white head. Sweet caramel with just a smidgen of dusty dry leaves and a hint of bitterness. Really not much to it. Below par golden but drinkable.
