Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB.

[ As Grainstore Rutland Beast ].
Clear medium brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, berry notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, dark malt, sweet malt, caramel, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151009]

Cask. Pours mahogany with a red cast. Tan cream head yielding good lacing. Aroma caramel, toast, herbs, dough, earthy, raisin, even hints of smoke and vanilla. Taste has malts to the fore with caramel notes and a medium to strong sweetness but this matures to a smooth bitter finish. Carbonation light to soft and overall a fine ale if hardly a stout.

Gravity cask at National Winter Ales Festival. Chestnut with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with bread crust, nuts, toffee and dried fruit. Sweet fruity flavour with figs and dates, and rich malts.

Towey1989 (2720) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2017
Gravity at The Derby Winter Beer Festival. A slightly hazy brown colour with a frothy off white head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, liquorice, some dark fruits, slight cookie dough, a little bready malts, a hint of raisin, biscuit and subtle spicy hops. Taste of toffee, chocolate, liquorice, bready malts, some dark fruits, raisin, slight biscuit, a little biscuit and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A sweetish, raisin cookie finish. Wouldn’t say it’s a stout, more like a strong, premium bitter. Lots of toffee, biscuit and dried fruits, like a flapjack of some sorts. I like it.

On cask pours a dark brown color with orange highlights and a tan head. The nose is fruity, some roast, chocolate. The taste is rich dark malt, dark fruit, chocolate ending dry and slightly roasty. The body is light+ and silky. Nice

Mahogany brown colour with thick fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have some woody dryness and fruity floral malts.

jampura (193) - FINLAND - NOV 12, 2016
Pehmeä, kevyt runko, makea, tumma ja rusinaa tai jotain hedelmää seassa. Miellyttävä.
