Gravity at The Derby Winter Beer Festival. A slightly hazy brown colour with a frothy off white head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, liquorice, some dark fruits, slight cookie dough, a little bready malts, a hint of raisin, biscuit and subtle spicy hops. Taste of toffee, chocolate, liquorice, bready malts, some dark fruits, raisin, slight biscuit, a little biscuit and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A sweetish, raisin cookie finish. Wouldnt say its a stout, more like a strong, premium bitter. Lots of toffee, biscuit and dried fruits, like a flapjack of some sorts. I like it.
