Sampled on draught at the Falcon Hotel, Uppingham as their Falcon bitter. Tawny colour and good aroma. Very pleasant toffee-ish malt taste with fruity notes and light bitterness. Refreshing, clean and pleasantly fruity. An excellent bitter. Very drinkable and even though it is not strong is very tasty. jjsint (3428) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2014
Cask @ Wetherspoons, MK. Tan/golden with a decent creamy head. Sulphurous and woody notes in the aroma. Taste starts a bit sweet then descends into sulphurous bitter. Bitter slightly acrid aftertaste, but there’s a really lively chestnutty taste in there. Not really my thing, but a cut above most ’Burton-y’ bitters. A good balance and decent flavour for its ABV. Golden-amber. Toasty/caramel character, subtle yeast and a decently dry finish. Well-balanced.
