A full strength mahogany coloured beer, which has a moreishness typical of a beer possessing the fine balance of pronounced hop bitterness & aroma against a natural malty sweetness, creating a deceivingly drinkable beer.

StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2013
A mid amber orange coloured beer with a frothy white head. A light malty aroma, slightly spicy and smokey. Dry mouthfeel. A light fruity hop taste, slightly sour, which is followed by a more sweeter, caramel malt flavour. The finish is hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. It pours a nice finger-thick off-white head over a lightly hazy deep golden body. Butterscotch, some caramel and a light fruityness in the aroma. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, but unfortunately there’s diacetyl here as well. Caramel and fruits too. Medium to thin on the palate, soft carbonation. Decent finish. A decent beer, sort of, at least the butterscotch isn’t very evident after a few sips, but I still don’t like diacetyl in my beers. 130111

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2013 On tap at JDs. Very fresh tasting ... Fruity and sweet premium bitter with slight sticky bitterness. Very nice, worth the hype in Leicester.

Back to the old school. Bit vinegary. Slowly working my way through ticking co-op. Why oh why?
