Cask high cross Leicester. Golden thin head. Good sweet caramel malt aroma taste same good malts light bitter finish. Decent classic bitter.
Handpull cask at the Fox, North Luffenham, as ’Cunning Fox’. Light brown with Amber hues, clear. Aroma of tannins, malt, Chardonnay. The taste is quite bitter with fruity vinous qualities. Clean finish with some notable astringency. Thin body. A solid beer, but not exactly my style. SamVimes21 (567) - - AUG 14, 2016
Cask @ Grainstore Brewery, Oakham, amber with a thin white head hoppy , malty biscuit taste with a malty , hoppy aftertaste.not bad. theprof (1254) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2015
Cask. Aroma caramel malt with bread undertones. Pour copper with white top. Taste biscuit malts wih some hoppiness in the savour. But something is clearly lacking. For me the balance goes as it dwells on the palate with a bitter aftertaste that needs some contrast. Travlr (26134) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 16, 2015

Tried at a bistro in Stamford. The beer was probably past its prime,. Amber colour with no head. The aroma was a touch musty. The taste was flat, but had the promise of malt and a nice bitter finish.

Cask at Rupert Brooke spoons Rugby, not crystal clear but pleasant, nice white head, malty notes and smooth on the palate. Drinkable bitter. Oakes (18883) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2014
Rich bronze colour. Thin head. Sweet caramel nose and a bit of biscuity malt. Lots of caramel, rich malts, bit of alcohol. Straightforward bitter. jamesie1857 (1980) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2013
On cask at JDW in Coalville - Not the most inspiring. A copper body, vague white head. Bit of malt and caramel, but not too much to impose itself. Taste - okay - but nothing noteworthy. A boring bitter. Cunningham (8412) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 2, 2013
