This is our tribute to the black iron that paved the way to get to the Grand Canyon. Black Iron is a high hopped, fragrant ale that is as deep and as wide as the Grand Canyon itself!

I have never had an IPA I didn’t like.....until now. This is very bland. Very low IBU, low alochol, low body. Its like a light IPA, which would be fine, if they told me it was a light IPA.

Taps clear golden with a decent buff head that leaves good lacing. Aroma features a strong fruity note, supported by hops and a little malt. Flavor offers bolder notes of pear, apple, resiny hops and fresh malt plus a floral hint. Flavor doesn’t quite say IPA, but it is pleasing. Smooth mouthfeel delivers good body and lively fizz. Dig the black iron,

Hoppy, piney aroma, fruits on the back. No head, but even though - nice lacing, bit hazy, dark golden color. Taste similar to aroma. Fruity, piney, with nice bitterness in the end. Very drinkable, almost refreshing. Nice solid IPA.

A hazed golden amber ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light floral hops, resinous and piney, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light metallic notes, so-so.

Can. Golden copper color. Aroma of grassy hops, butter and dry yeast. Taste is a bit watery, with iron, grassy hop and grain.

Twelve ounce can. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a medium sized head. Loose, sudsy lacing along the glass. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Reminds me a bit of an English IPA in the nose. Flavor is nicely bitter with a good amount of maltiness.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2015 another too malty and thickish IPA - not what I’m looking for. I’ll get an english pale ale for that. Not BAD, just not good.

Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 15, 2015
Where and how: can
Aroma bold yet refined with nicely rounded approach. Some late alcohol hints with balancing dryness.
Appearance :
Top: gushing white foam, rocky. Leaving lace on glass.
Base: hazy amber gold.
Palate : delicate body with longer finish.
Taste: similar to aroma. Soft refined feel with infused dose of hops. Perhaps tad too sweet to be very good.
