This has a pretty good sweet aroma. The head is very tasty. Creamy but with a good graininess. The flavor is grainy as well, but sweet and creamy as well. Really, this is quite nice. 2 for 2 with these guys. notalush (5874) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Dark, cloudy amber pour - probably one of the more complex ambers I’ve had - very malty, with a lot of prune, raisin, and molasses in the aroma and the flavor - some notes of spice kick in just in time for the hops to compliment it - a touch of toasted malt flavor on the back end - a bit of spicy warmth last through the finish - one of the few ambers I’ve had that I would happily buy again. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Sampled on 9/9/2010. This amber ale pours a medium amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, malty and sweet. A medium bodied amber ale. The malts are caramel, cereal and semi-sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Minimal carbonation. More caramel malt and less sweet than your typical amber. Seems more in the style of an English mild or bitter. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 6, 2006

A deep amber color with a nice head. Rich in malt I really liked the awesome flavors this beer had. The hops where subtle and the flavors and spices where great. Good Beer…

Nutty, some mild fruit flavor, but otherwise forgettable. Grassy hops, light body.

12 oz bottle from Supermarket Liquors Fort Collins. Nose is floral hops, light nuttiness, and caramel. Lightly hazy rust with a medium beige head. Flavor is caramel, peanuts, and light bitterness. Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2006
22oz bomber- An aroma of caramel and malt on a nice red body with an off white head that dissipates rather quickly. Has a taste of malt and toffee.
A rather good red. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2006
Tap at brewpub. Pours a nice amber but with flat bubbles; nice head. Smells like a woodsy wort. Flavor is smoky malt. Average mouthfeel. Surprised by the smoke flavor... BEAUTIFUL Rocky Mountain National Park road for a namesake. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2008
Bottle: Medium amber hue; very thin head. Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly easy to drink; light carbonation. Light sweetness (Boston baked beans, toffee, buttered toast). Healthy hoppy bitterness (grass, flowers, tree sap) with a bit of sourness (grapefruit zing, orange rind). Somewhat bold for the style, but not bad. oz bottle from aplusbreaks. Dark amber pour, very little head. Carmelly aroma. Nice hop presence, good bite too it. Nice roastiness as well. Pretty good.
