3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is malty, I get dark chocolates and roasted barley. The taste is extremely malty, with chocolate, and oatmeal being very strong. Malty bitterness in the finish. Overall a little empty on the tongue, but good in the finish.
Not as bad as the numbers suggest. The aroma is weak for a stout - a slight hint Hershey chocolate. The pour is opaque w/ a thin tan head & spotty lacing. The taste has some chocolate notes but not much else. It’s fairly well balanced however & overall an ok stout. UncleKorm (1319) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 27, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 Bottle poured a clear deep dark brown hue w/ a small fizzy head. Minimal aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are roast forward about the level of bold coffee, and dough. Medium bodied, avg carbonation, and a warm finish. Errl (2442) - Plano, Texas, USA - DEC 2, 2013

12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s poured into my Funkwerks glass. Black with a decent tan head, minimal lacing. Aroma and flavor of milk chocolate, roasted malts, toasted oats, coffee and earthy bitter hops. Medium body with a creamy feel and a smooth finish. Overall, a nicely roasted and balanced stout.

A good oatmeal stout, but not my favorite. Very smoky, which might not be a good transition from the super chocolatey oatmeal stout I just had.
