On tap at GR Brewing Co. Decent hefe. Wheat and yeast flair dominates this cloudy pour. Decent. emacgee (4676) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Very cloudy pale blonde pour with thick white head. Grain aroma with rustic characters and isoamyl acetate/clove. Raw wheat/yeast in the flavor. Grainy notes and esters clash a little bit. A touch spicy with no hops. Light bodied. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - AUG 26, 2014

Part of a paddle at GRBC.
Appearance: Pale yellow with a slight haze. A pretty perfect looking hefeweizen. Nice pillowy head and some patchy lacing.
Smell: Clove and banana. Not as banana heavy as I’d like. Seems like a pretty even balance with the clove and banana.
Taste/feel: Medium feel and carbonation, true to the style. Tastes pretty good. Like I said, I like more banana than clove or other spices, but it’s alright. I’m admittedly not the hugest fan of hefeweizens though... whoops.
It’s fine. It’s alright. A reasonably good, decently brewed, organic hefeweizen. Brigadier (3680) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - NOV 13, 2013

A well rounded hefeweizen falls more towards the fruity end of the spectrum. Almost like a glass of bananas with some wheat and cloves thrown in the result is a very drinkable beer that I think is a regular tap. It is certainly worth at least a sample size pour.
Aroma / Appearance - A hazy golden base shimmers underneath the light shelter of white head. Mild spices - mainly cloves - temper the nose of bananas, wheat, and sweet ripened fruits.
Flavor / Palate - Bananas, cloves, and a sprinkle of other spices brighten the palate. The result is neither cloying nor bland. The alcohol does make an appearance in the finish. A solid pint was worth the cost despite not being able to try a few more of Grand Rapids’ other offerings. I’m sure I will be back based on this data point.
On tap at Grand Rapids Brewing Co. Hazy banana yellow with a thin white topper. Aroma of banana, clove and yeast. Taste is a standard hefe with a little sugar to boot – banana, cloves and yeast. Okay. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Tap. Golden with small head. Light spice, banana and clove. Pleasant and smooth. joshwoodward (575) - - APR 2, 2013
Very nice hefe interpretation. A slight bit on the sweet side. Banana more than clove. Delicious.
