On nitro and CO2, pours dark black with lots of carbonation. Aroma of light chocolate and bitter woody scent. Very smooth with hints of coffee and chocolate hitting the back of your throat. A bit watery in mouth feel. Tap at brewery. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - AUG 26, 2014

Dark pour with chestnut brown edges and a clean look. Very nice roast to the nose with notes of coffee roast and bakers chocolate. Very nice roast comes through the entire flavor and finish. Dry and medium light bodied. Very nice, roast pervasive and clean. njager246 (699) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Aroma of roasted malts and coffee with a fair amount of chocolate. .. great chocolate and coffee flavor, maybe a touch thin, but pretty good!

Should be a porter, not a stout... it’s a bit too thin for a stout in my mind, but I can’t argue the flavor. Since it’s an Irish Dry, I guess I can understand the body. Given its ABV and general mouthfeel, it’s a pretty light/easy drink, but it has a solid flavor as well. Nice roasted malts and coffee on the finish with some chocolate -- nothing off here. There’s also a slight smoke-like character, but it’s really minor. One of the better beers I had at the brewery. Tmoney99 (14946) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Draft sample. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Good roasted coffee sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth dry texture with flat carbonation. Moderate toasted dark sweet flavor with a medium dark sweet finish of average duration. Solid drinkable dry stout. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Sampler at GRBC. Very dark brown to black. Nice roasted notes and what seemed like a touch of lactose sugar. Smooth and sweet, but some balancing bitterness. A nice stout.
