On tap White Horse, Parsons Green. Strangely for a bitter it looks cloudy dark amber. Appetising. Pine and citrous hops in the nose. Taste is more like a pale ale. Sweet malty flavour giving way to hop bitterness.

330ml bottle. Vibrant golden sunset colour with a rich deep head that looks good when poured. Piney, earthy aroma with notes og grain coming out and a nice mellow flavour that leads into a robust finish. Well balanced and flavoursome.

Pours gold with a small head leaving nice lacing. Nose shows a fair bit of light malt with honey and cookie-dough characters, but is somewhat faint. Similarly malty flavours but with more of a bready character. Is it just me or are all of Grand Ridges beers intensely malty? Not that Im complaining... Finishes with a well balanced bitterness but is in no way dry. Moderate body and carbonation - nice, even if not to style.

Tap. Not bad. Aromas of nuts, honey, and biscuit. Taste is sweet, with lingering bitterness. Palate is oily, with a thin-to-medium body. Dark yellow, with a frothy white head.

From a 330ml bottle on 6/10/2013. Pours a slightly cloudy orange golden with a small head. Has a modest aroma featuring fruit and malt. In the mouth this has a lot of typical English bitter to it (should be classed a bitter not a pale lager imo). Its very malty (bread and toffee), with some fruity notes, and quite a dry, lingering medium bitterness. Has a medium body and carbonation. Pretty solid brew.

Bottle. Slightly hazy light amber with an inch of white head. Aroma has biscuits, pine, honey and some butterscotch. Quite substantial in the mouth with a round fruitiness thats unusual in an Australian lager. Theres a real house malt profile that works well for the ales but is less obviously suited here and is a little reminiscent of Butter Menthols. Piney bitterness. Robust and refreshing.

Bottle- Pours a bronze color with a small head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness with a bit of citrus and grain.Taste of caramel sweetness abd a bit of grain. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly moderate body, smooth with moderate carbonation. Decent beer that goes down easy. Reminds me of an English Bitter.
