Nice beer to get when you just want to enjoy a couple. This is a good all-round micro bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 24, 2003
Didn't think I would like this when I saw the colour as I poured it into the glass, tawny amber colour, hoppy and caramel aroma and a malty caramel taste with a late slight hoppy aftertaste. It is a tad thin but a decent beer. Cheers! kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - OCT 19, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2003 16/10 tap: Hazy amber with off white short head. Not much in the aroma, bit of old floral hops, and a hint of caramel. OK med-thin body. Nice sweet hoppy start with a decent bitter finish. Hop flavour aftertaste. Not a bad PA! 26/10 - Same in the bottle really. Not much difference at all. Very faintly hazy copper amber with largish off white long lasting head. Medium herbal woody hops and biscuity malt aroma. Medium thin body. Predominantly medium hoppy start softening to doughy biscuit malt. It has a very English pub ale feel to to it. Dry interesting bitter finish and softer low sweetness malty aftertaste. A pleasant ale similar in quality to their Yarra Valley Gold. . Dredd (979) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - SEP 6, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2007 nice beer with a malty/nutty flavour. Definately gets the thumbs up. Very smooth and has a nice golden amber colour with good mouth feel. Re-Rate: 14/01/07 Still a nice beer, strong toffee and creaminess, perhaps a tad light on finishing bitterness.

nice, nutty, slightly salty and soapy malt flavours, with some spicy hops. a reasonable yorkshire kind of pale ale - clean, dry, malty and unfruity. hydrohelen (1) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2003 does not count
A fantastic beer, soft on the palate, fresh nose, full bodied flavour making this on eof Australias premium beers Linc (740) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 2, 2003
Amber colour, mild malty aroma, golden syrup flavour. Not the worlds most exciting ale and definately not worth $3.95 a bottle. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUN 28, 2003
more amber than gold. pleasantly citric but a little thin. pretty swiggable ultrasonix (15) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 21, 2003
For a locally made brew it was really suprising, a definate ale taste of hops yet mellowed with a nice sweet aroma and aftertaste. Well worth any palate at this price.
