COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic Belgian style blonde wheat beer. It is naturally cloudy using Australia’s premium wheat, malt, and coriander. Natural orange peel used in the brewing process lets luscious hints of citrus seep through what is believed to be Australia’s most delicious blonde head. Awarded 2 medals at the Australian and International beer awards 2002. Winner of Australia’s best wheat beer in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 it won 4 medals including worlds best draught wheat beer and more in 2005 -2011. A great accompaniment to Thai food, curries, barbeques and an exceptional balcony beer. Worlds best wheat beer 2010 UK Beer Awards.

Bottle -- Insipid yellow typical of the style with large soft drink-like bubbles. Small head with next to no retention but a bit of lacing. Crisp citrusy aroma with coriander. Flavour matches the aroma and is sour rather than bitter. I suppose this beer is typical of the style and all that, but I really don’t understand the attraction.

Standard fazy for a wheat beer, good coriander and orange tinge. I’m not a hugh wheat fan though

A typical hazy golden colour. Wheat and citrus aroma. A good try for an Australian version of a wheat beer. A typically good effort from Grand Ridge. Not everyones pallet. Probably worth trying one before you got a six pack or more

Very cloudy blonde looks, smalll head and fain bubbles. Smells all orange and coriander. Nice palate, but I don’t like the taste, a bit sour. Didn’t work for me.

Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2006
A muddy orange-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with a clear wheat presence, while the flavor is dry wheaty with light notes of apples.

Bottle. Unclear golden colour with a weak head. Aroma of yeast and flavour of yeast too, but ends up citrus-like and dull.

Hazy yellow beer with a small white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma. Acidic fruity flavor. Quite thin palate.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy pale golden with a small, white head. Rather neutral aroma with a vague tartness. Light-bodied with a distinct sourness - grapefruit I believe. No bitterness. Thanks to Highlandlad for this one. 150306
