Malrider69 (163) - Central Coast, AUSTRALIA - JUN 11, 2017
Pours a cloudy straw colour. There is a grassy aroma and a malty flavour (without being too sweet) and a moderate bitterness. Overall a good quality beer.

Aroma of bread. Taste of nice toasty malts and citrus/other fruit. Moderate bitterness. I expected a bit more. Not that there is anything wrong with it, though.

Bottle @ the Brewery A hazy gold beer, holds a small thick white head. Hops dominate the aroma; cooked citrus, pine & grass clippings. Has a subtle stewed/porridgey grain undertone. Texture is appreciably oily, moderate carbonation and weight on the palate. Malt character of porridge and light toast play second fiddle to lifted hop notes of grapefruit and pine sap. Firm, reasonably balanced bitterness to finish, lingering hop resin. Would consider this more an APA of sorts, the oats add a touch of extra malt character and texture, but could be overlooked unknowingly.

Thoroughly enjoyable in taste and mouthfeel. Good sharp bitterness. Doesn't live up to the hopes of wet hops though, little aroma or aromatics up front ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caught me off guard. Masses of slightly weird ’fruity’ notes just don’t mate that well with an earthy, grassy component (the oatmeal?). The ’Fruit Tingle’ tang just seems well out of place.

Quite possibly my favourite beer currently. Has a beautiful oatmeal undercurrent. If you can still manage to grab a bottle, snap it up immediately.

Maris (1515) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - NOV 12, 2011
From a 330ml bottle on 13/11/2011. Pours a deep golden with a medium head which disappears quickly. Has a quite a distinct fruit aroma with peach, apricot and mandarin evident. The flavour is primarily citrus fruit with lots of lemon and more mandarin, which contribute a sharp bitterness at the back. An unusual and interesting beer which doesn’t come together for me, but worth a go if you’re looking for something a bit different.

mkel07 (5993) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 23, 2011
330ml bottle. Deep light fluffy pillow of foam sits across a sparkling golden amber beer which is pretty clear. Aromas of peaches and nectarines with a bit of straw mixed in. Light and zingy in the mouth with a clean crisp flavour.

Bottle 330ml. Great, with unique taste and aromas. Nose of biscuit and pine. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

bluebetty (1021) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2011
Bottle. Pours dark amber with cream coloured head. Interesting aromas of grassy hops, light caramel and a little saltiness. Flavours show some of the sweet caramel with light hop bitterness to finish. Medium mouthfeel. Not too bad.
