bottle. Pours gold, small fizzy head. Aroma of grass and grain malts. Taste is sharp, sour. Something off about this one. solidfunk (8949) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Smells a little malty, some sourness that persists through the taste in a kind of unpleasant manner consistent with many others I’ve had of the style. Gains a wonderful dose of astringency at the end of the journey, which lasts all of a few seconds. Pours dark gold, high carbonation but head dies quick. A pretty weak beer for the brewery. Bottle at Saving Gigi’s. rob6239 (677) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2012
At Food & Drink Fest Hamilton. Grassy and earthy notes in the aroma and taste is great. Very smooth and drinkable. Ontbeertaster (2362) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2011
Tap, pours a golden colour, bit of head at first, really wasnt a fan of this, the flavour was very grainy or something, it had no hop taste at all, it was very harsh and tough to drink. I wouldnt recommend this one. VeloVampire (625) - Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 17, 2011
500 ml bottle - pours a clear medium gold with a thick two-finger white head. Aroma of wet hay, pale malt, some grassy hops. Flavour clean and direct, mostly malt with a subtle hop presence. Slightly biscuity finish. Not the sort of beer to be pondered, but one to be quaffed. Would be quite a lovely hot weather throwback. GR does it again.

Pale golden pour. The aroma is light and a bit fruity. Sort of lightly grainy and a bit zesty. There is a touch of noble flavour as well. Well- balanced and clean. There is a bit of crackery malt character and some herbal spiciness. Actually, a great kolsch. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2011
Bottle, from the brewery. Light yellow, small white head. Strong yeasty aroma, minerals, light hops as well. Taste is crisp over a medium body, good amount of hopping. Mineral taste dominates as well and I am not sure the hard water Grand River uses works really well with this one. Both otherwise a decent brew that is hard to distinquish from Grand River’s other flavourful light lagers. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - APR 14, 2011
nice brew here, really tasty and light session brew, slight adjunct taste, excellent refreshing balance of cereal like malts and light noble/hallerteau style hops. good stuff, i might try some more kolsches now!~ kevinsenn (2211) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2011
Pours clear and golden. My wife figured out exactly what it smells like - yogurt. The taste was smooth and creamy, not unlike yogurt. Would get this again. Hammy78 (973) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - APR 9, 2011
Draught at The Winking Judge in Hamilton. Golden colour with not much retention on the white head. Grainy taste a little malt. Pretty basic, not bad though.
