bottle. Poured hazy orange with a creamy tan head. Fresh herbal hoppy aroma. Average carbonation, sticky palate. Grapefruit, green tea, caramel malt, hint of pepper. A bit of a metallic finish kinda like a dry red wine. Quaffable. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Light aroma of mild caramel roast, little cherry jam there too. Oxidized malt up front, sours a bit, finishes complimentary, reminds me of a bruin. DiarmaidBHK (5460) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2011
Bottle from LCBO. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Slight slight maltiness on the nose. I’m having trouble describing the taste except to say it tastes off. I don’t get any malt and it tastes like they used poison ivy instead of hops. Metallic aftertaste. Definite drainpour. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 3, 2011
amber pour with a medium off white head.
aroma is sweet caramel/toffee, hints of burnt sugar.

A bit cloudy.. Sweet candy aroma, not as bitter as I expected. A nice, hoppy beer, with a bitter aftertaste. Smooth, some creaminess in the palate. A medium body. delicious.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark reddish brown, with a creamy beige head. Aroma is heavy with cereal notes, pine, faint cocoa, bread crust, and linseed. The taste is also heavy with cereal notes, slightly sweet, faint pine, mineral notes and a bitter finish with some hints of earth. cyrenaica (1159) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 7, 2011

I tried this beer on May 5, 2011 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent brownish-red with a rocky tan cap that laced well. The aroma was sweet caramel malt, and weak floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is quite hoppy with a malt sweeetness in the middle - I was hoping for better.
500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO. Pours a reddish/ copper colour, white/ yellow head, sprinklings of lace here and there, good carbonation to boot. Aroma is carmalized malt and a dash of hops. Taste is malt, hop and a little smokiness as well. Real nice brew. Ontbeertaster (2362) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 27, 2011
Quite nice, thought I was drinking an EPA, not an amber, Not terribly similar to any amber ales I have had. It has very grassy n’ earthy notes, it has a light hop aroma and taste, its colour is amber, overall pretty tasty stuff
