COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pugnascious is designed to be a very simple ale. A combination of pale malt, crystal and 4 strikes of cascade hops in significant quantities - in true US pale ale tradition. Not rocket science but no beer is.

500 ml bottle sample. Pours a light amber with a large pillowy off-white head. Aromas are bread, hay, over-ripe fruit, and slightly acidic, Tastes are an interesting balance between sweet and bitter. There are some gentle caramel malts offset by some copper and grass. Light bodied, strong carbonation, and a medium to long astringent finish. Interesting.

Pours a clear orange with an off white head. Aroma is sulfur and caramel. Flavour is malty and bitter and some more of the sulfur. Finish is a little sour and bitter. The malt lingers a bit.

Sweet bready aroma, not much hop nose (is this bottle fresh?). High clarity, deeply golden in colour. Beige persistent head, minimal lacing. Taste is simple, but good. Palate from all grand river beers I find very nice. Must be the water.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Deep amber with small white head. Caramel and hay in the nose. Sweet toasted malt with a hint of bitterness. Medium slick body. Short finish. Good but i was expecting more bite from something called Pugnacious.

Papillon (400) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 16, 2013
500 mL Bottle. Gold - amber body with a thin but frothy white head. Aroma of pungent hops, sweet light malts, and a sharp astringent note. The flavor is sweet-syrupy but rich malty along with a hop bitter that has a subtle pine character to it. The aftertaste seems rude at first but it quickly tames to a kind of toffy - malt combo. This is where this beer truly shines in its yin-yang balance of near extremes. Long bitter shifting to clean finish. Pugnacious indeed!

Tessic (1146) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 6, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2016 This IPA poured a cloudy medium amber colour with a soapy, white head. To the nose there are scents of grass, citrus, earth and hay. First sip was slightly watery with flavours of grass/citrus hopps, hay and cereal. Finish is bitter with grassy hop flavour lingering. For Christ sakes Grand River, back off on the hops....

Bouteille 500ml.

500 ml bottle. Pours an almost clear, pale orange amber with a short lasting white head. Taste is malty, light caramel. Light earthy, herbal, piney hoppiness. Too subtle for my liking...Light to medium bodied. Alright...

Faint hoppy aroma. Cereals, malts and citrus flavors with strong, lasting bitter aftertaste. Pours a hazy orange amber with small receding head. Cask conditionned? Feels like my palate’s been attacked by evil underworld worker trolls. Despite that, good stuff man... Good stuff.

Draught at C’est What, Toronto
Hazy amber color, small head. Simple Ale, tasty, with some malt and cereals, but also lightly rancid; correct bitterness, with mild hop resins in the final.
