COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pugnascious is designed to be a very simple ale. A combination of pale malt, crystal and 4 strikes of cascade hops in significant quantities - in true US pale ale tradition. Not rocket science but no beer is.

Enjoyable, crisp but bitter and plenty of smoky hops taste. A good honest beer. 500ml bottle in Toronto.

Bottle [500ml]. Pours a hazy orange-amber with a small diminishing fizzy off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, Grand River yeast (prevalent in all their beers), light hops and a hint of diacytil. Flavor of bready malt, the aforementioned yeast, floral hops and an average bitter finish -- I would not have guessed this was made with Cascade. Medium bodied. Probably pretty good on tap but just good in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Rating #3966)

500ml bottle. Clear, bright deep amber with a large fizzy-foamy off-white reasonably long-lasting white head (4-). Lush cereal grain aroma, a bit of honey, no alcohol, building mid-level herbal bitterness. Taste is ... grassy and a bit harsh - bitter, not as grainy - a bit watery and astringent, smooths out a bit as it warms, but a little harsh even still. Not bad. Will try a few more - this is already growing on me.

Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a nice thick off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and bitter hops typical of Cascade hops. Taste is mostly dominated by your typical Cascade hops notes of citrus and bitter. Malt backbone is quite dry and noticeable though doesn’t overshadow the hops profile. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done with good drinkability while staying within the style guidelines.

Bottle from Sammy. Dark amber with a lasting froth and lacing. Aroma indicates Amber ale with some nice hopping. Flavour is more to style. Nicely hopped without being extreme with some solid malt nicely balanced. A nice woodiness. A good pub ale.

Bouteille de 500ml. Merci Patrick. 2/10

Clear amber pour, rocky beige head. Biscuity, pale crystal malt aroma with touches of fruity floral hops. Light bitterness pleasant herbal hopy finish. Noting fancy but a very very solid session ale. An english style apa if thats possible. Thanks john!

Bottle - 500ml. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white foamy head. Decent hoppy aroma with malty and some woody hints. Its fresh, light hoppy taste carries grapefruit notes and ends with a good bitter finish. Average APA.
